No, a few years ago Pa. started a mentor youth hunt for Turkey, Groundhogs, Squirrels and Bucks. Six thru twelve year olds must sit right with their mentors and can not carry a loaded gun. They do not need a license either.

Thanks for the nice comment! Sorry it took so long to respond. We were hunting in Pennsylvania State Game Lands. Gun was a Mossberg 12 gauge 3 1/2 and I think 5 shot.

hey great video its good to get the kids into the sport early… i started hunting when i was 17 but i still love it. Was that a 2 3/4, 3 or 3 1/2? What sshot size? And where did this take place?

  16. 1964klc on October 18th, 2009 6:18 am

Nope it always comes down to shot placement.

Good choice, but my story of my dad killing and turkey with my gun while i spent the night at a friends house, and my gun is a Remington 870, 20 ga. Youth with Winchester 3in. Supremes and dropped it in 1 shot just goes to show you u dont always need a giant gun, but it does help.

Your right! I jumped when he shot because I didn’t think he was going to shoot until they got closer. I was sitting 10 yards away.
