Just bought a mossberg 88 and was wondering do I need to change the choke if I want to use different ammo. I know I can only shoot 2/ 3/4 shells but I dont no anyhitng about chokes..can someone help me. Im intrested in going turkey hunting and was curious as to what ammo to use.

   yes it has different chokes available. The 88 are maverick a low end Mossberg but have most of the same features as the 500

   Does you 88 have removable chokes? If so you want a Full or Super Full Turkey choke.

   The shotshells are easy, at the store get the shells with a turkey on the box (make sure they are 2 3/4 only). I’m not making a joke it’s that simple.

   Use a full choke for Turkey.* Use number 4 or 5 High Brass bird shot for ammo.*
