    no pics of the prettiest of our sub species? merriams goulds are a tie i think… i hunt out west as well grew up hunting easterns im heading out to montana this may for the 1st time but besides the fact that merriams gobblers
    kinda just wonder around a lot after fly down what is the major differnces??? yes the terrian is more open but not more open the the huge fields i hunt easterns on??? a turkey is a turkey east to west
    the terrain dose make up some of the hunt true we must addapt

    This hunt was in Montana. I grew up hunting Easterns in Ohio and its a major difference hunting the wide open spaces. He didn’t want to stick his head out but at 15 yards there wasn’t much feather damage.

    He just wouldn’t Gobble for you to get a better head shot would he. Awesome hunt! The merriams I think are one of the prettiest Turkeys out of the 4 main turkeys. I myself hunt the eastern turkeys here in michigan. Where you at? Check out my turkey hunt. Great Job!!!
